InkSpire is distributed as a standalone Windows installer.

Important Windows Security Notice
InkSpire is currently distributed without a digital signing certificate. Because of this, Windows may display security warnings during download or installation.
This is expected behavior and does not indicate that InkSpire is harmful.
You may see messages such as:
- “This file may be harmful” when downloading
- “Windows protected your PC” when running the installer
To continue installation:
- If prompted during download, choose Keep or Download anyway
- When running the installer, click More info
- Select Run anyway
These prompts appear because the application is not digitally signed, not because malware was detected.
Why This Warning Appears
Windows uses code-signing certificates to identify software publishers. At this time, InkSpire is distributed directly and does not include a paid signing certificate.
This keeps distribution simple and costs lower during early development.
InkSpire:
- Does not install background services
- Does not modify system settings outside its install folder
- Does not upload or transmit your writing
Installation Notes
- The installer includes all required components

Security & Privacy
InkSpire is an offline-first application.

If You Are Unsure
If you are uncomfortable bypassing Windows warnings:
- You may wait for a future release that includes a signing certificate
