Keyboard Shortcuts

InkSpire supports keyboard shortcuts to help you write, navigate, and interact with the application more efficiently. Below is a list of the current functional keyboard shortcuts in InkSpire.

File Menu

• New Project — Ctrl + Shift + P
• Open Project — Ctrl + O
• Exit — Ctrl + Q

Edit Menu

• Save Scene — Ctrl + S
• View All Scenes — Ctrl + A
• View Entire Book — Ctrl + Shift + A

Scene & Chapter Creation

• New Chapter — Ctrl + Shift + N
• New Scene — Ctrl + N

Export Shortcuts

• Export Entire Book (TXT) — Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T
• Export Entire Book (HTML) — Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E
• Export Entire Book (DOCX) — Ctrl + Alt + Shift + O
• Export Entire Book (PDF) — Ctrl + Alt + Shift + P

These shortcuts export the entire book, not individual scenes or chapters.

Deletion Shortcuts (Destructive Actions)

• Delete Chapter — Ctrl + Shift + D
• Delete Scene — Ctrl + Shift + Backspace
• Delete Project — Ctrl + Shift + X

These actions are destructive and cannot be undone.

Dialog Behavior (Important, but not menu shortcuts)

These apply to popups and dialogs:

• Enter — Confirm / OK
• Escape — Cancel / Close

This behavior is consistent across InkSpire dialogs.
