Managing Recordings

All scheduled and completed recordings are managed from Zeeko’s Recordings section.

From this screen you can:

• View upcoming scheduled recordings
• View completed recordings
• Play recorded content
• Delete recordings to free storage space
• View recording details and status

Where Are Recordings Stored?

Zeeko supports three recording storage methods:

Network / SMB (Recommended)

Best and most reliable.

Recordings are stored on a network share and can be easily accessed from other devices and computers. This is the recommended option for most users.

Local / USB Folder

Good when the device supports Android’s folder picker.

On supported devices, Zeeko can save recordings to a user-selected local or USB folder.

Device / USB App Storage

Fallback for devices without Android’s folder picker.

Some Android TV and Google TV devices do not provide Android’s folder picker. In this case, Zeeko can save recordings to its app-managed storage area.

Typical locations are:

Device Storage

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.raytube.zeeko/files/Recordings/

USB App Storage

/storage/XXXX-XXXX/Android/data/com.raytube.zeeko/files/Recordings/

The exact USB path will vary depending on your device and USB drive.

Important Notes

• Many Android TV and Google TV devices prevent file manager apps from accessing the Android/data folder.
• Because of this, recordings stored using Device Storage or USB App Storage may not be directly visible in file manager applications.
• Recordings can always be played and managed from within Zeeko.
• When you delete a recording from Zeeko, the recording file is deleted from storage and the recording entry is removed from Zeeko.
• Recordings stored in Device Storage or USB App Storage may be removed if Zeeko is uninstalled.
